Slicer is a GMS product

 

Slicer was originally developed as a potato cutter for boiled potatoes and used in in-house large kitchens in a wide variety of companies and in catering.

 

As luck would have it, the slicer evolved to become an ideal tool for cutting long eggs (some say "egg rolls").
